Seattle Business Development

Objective: Find, develop and generate leads for potential new clients.  This position is responsible for sales volume, new business goals and exposure of MBI for more sales opportunities.

 

Description:  Enhance MBI’s position in the Seattle Market by networking extensively for leads that can develop into proposals, presentations and ultimately sales.  Search for opportunities with real estate brokers, A&D, industry organizations, owner’s reps and individual network.  Be appraised of current and future industry projects.   Cold call potential prospects, host/attend open houses and industry events, develop lead groups and focus on driving opportunities to MBI.   Qualify leads on behalf of MBI for attainable prospects.   Follow up on leads generated by management and others within MBI team.

Lead client presentations through written/graphic/electronic/verbal means to best position MBI as a provider of products and services to best meet the client’s needs.   Coordinate with MBI support departments on how to position services tailored to client’s requirements.

 

Dailey Responsibilities and Activity may include all or any of the following:

·         Leads aspects of developing new clients

·         Develop and maintain a new business growth strategy

·         Research to identify new, prospects and new markets

·         Arrange & manage team presentations with prospective clients

·         Promote products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives

·         Build long-term relationships with new customers for future sales

·         Markets company products and services

·         Assist other sales when called upon  by Sales Manager

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 2-4 years of sales experience - industry preferred but not required

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

  • Self-motivated

  • Detail-oriented

  • Ability to work well independently and with colleagues

  • Possesses and comprehends a complex sales process

Job Type: Full-time

Seattle Account Manager-

Objective: 

Manage, support and grow accounts to develop opportunities, enhance customer satisfaction and optimize MBI Seattle as their provider; resulting in increased market share and gross profit by expanding products and services provided. Grow sales and market share in each account by managing the customers’ needs and requests.  Methods include regular contact, follow up, providing new offerings and knowledge that lead to consistent communication with the client.  Maximize the resources from MBI Seattle and our partners for excellent customer service, relevant product support and tactical suggestions that positively influence MBI Seattle’s customers.  Responsible for identifying opportunities in the market that lead to proposals, quotes and ultimately increased business. Engage with Sales Management to help implement account strategy and account activities as assigned. 



Responsibilities:

  • Day to Day responses to customer requests

  • Annual & project customer budgets and plans

  • Quote preparation

  • Proposal, Bid and RFP responses

  • Order follow up

  • Product Demonstration and knowledge

  • Coordinating Finish samples

  • Field measurements and job site assessment

  • Assess customer needs and make recommendations

  • Present Learning or helpful Research/Trends info



Qualifications and Skills:

Installer

  

Objective:

The Installer is responsible for the safe handling, delivery and installation of furniture and products to MBI Seattle’s customers. He/she is required to work in the most efficient manner possible, maintain a professional demeanor at all times and protect MBI Seattle’s equipment, assets, image and profitability. 

 

Responsibilities:

Reports directly to the Operations Manager and indirectly to the Director of Operations. Work cooperatively with all FSI / MBI Seattle owners, managers, employees and customers.

  1. Deliver and install small to mid-size projects independently and within quoted scope of work.

  2. Demonstrate proficient delivery and installation skills with all Herman Miller systems.

  3. Demonstrate proficient delivery and installation skills with other major manufacturers systems.

  4. Handle, deliver and install wood case goods properly and without damage.

  5. Demonstrate safe and efficient handling of all product and furnishings.

  6. Demonstrate ability to read and comprehend floor plans and installation drawings.

  7. Stage product properly as directed by the Lead Installer and / or installation drawings.

  8. Install wall mounts securely and properly in various wall conditions.

  9. Maintain a complete set of installation tools.

  10. Wear a clean and complete MBI uniform during scheduled work hours.

  11. Drive and operate MBI’s vans and trucks in a legal, safe and professional manner.

  12. Complete Time Sheets, Punch Lists, Change Orders and all other paperwork in a timely, legible and accurate manner.

  13. Possess the required tools of the trade i.e. cordless drill & bits and other hand tools needed to assemble various office furniture.

  14. Demonstrate proficient product terminology.

  15. Demonstrate problem solving skills and product installation solutions.

  16. Adhere to MBI procedures and policies as specified in the MBI Handbook at all times.

  17. Accommodate all reasonable requests from MBI’s owners, managers, co-workers and customers.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience delivering and installing office furnishings systems.

Able to lift, push, grasp and carry 5 to 30 lbs. frequently and 50 + lbs. occasionally.

Available for work shifts at various times to include evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime.

Professional, cooperative and polite interaction with coworkers and customers.

Self-motivated work practices.

Excellent attendance to include timely arrival and minimal sick time.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Valid Washington State driver’s license and personal insurance along with good transportation.

High school diploma and or GED equivalent.
